Referring to my title of this post, yes, I am once back again from the dead, and of course, I had no idea what to name this post which doesn't matter at all, I guess.

Well, why? I have closed up my blog for some time now and all the sudden it's back in public. It's because, today, I received a private message from a user in lowyat forum asking me about my trips to India and he couldn't access to my blog. And his pm was sent to me on the month of MARCH, lol.

So yeah, I decided to re-open this blog now, also cleaned up most of the useless self-hatred self-layan and obviously showing-off and bitching about others post. I think I took out 500 over post to less than a 100 now.

Since it is public now, if you are a reader, a friend, a stalker, or my ex-bfs, welcome, you are free to browse around. I like to claim that from now on, this blog is just about my travelogues, or any nice food I have. Or posting life that I obviously enjoyed so much that you'll be annoyed. Such a waste if I were to close this down instead of sharing my great experiences to any of you. Hehe.

I kinda felt that way too :/

It is quite challenging for me cause I don't remember the pain anymore. The last huge one I did was like near to 10 years ago.

All I remember was,
that I prayed so hard for it to be done as quickly as possible!

Had cold sweat and my neck is so tired.

Took about 4 to 5 hours to finish and it was all worth it :)

Hahahaha after 10 months and I still haven't finish posting pictures of my backpacking trip to Yeeeeendia!

I know it's senget but I'm too lazy to flip it up. I like the colours and the deco of this place!

I was soooooooooo tired and hungry after a long long long bus trip. Oh hey I'm drinking cold 7-up!

I think we ordered some Chinese Fried Rice cause we miss our home food so much and excited but the fried rice still turned out to be an Indian style Chinese Fried Rice. Get what I mean?

It's nice but do you know that you actually had to 'hike' like fuck to go a place in there? Their land are damn slopey! Imagine we still had to carry our backpacks? Well I gave up by walking really slow and then the guy from our guesthouse offered me a ride on his bike and also carried my backpack :D

Don't be fool by this little indian kid cause he speaks very fluent English. And also a rich kid.

We had this plate of fat huge 'Si Ham' at Bangkok along the Soi area. So nice!!

I felt like eating again now! I was quite delighted that night cuz found out that my friend that I traveled with also likes Si Ham! You know, it's really difficult to find anyone will eat these kinda food. Some friends of mine feel gross seeing these or immediately give me some puke face when I mentioned such food.

Anyway, I like eating blooded Si Ham! Actually I like to eat any blooded food. *Gross*

Come to think of it, I'm like fucking daring or called me lazy cause I went there without proper training.

I made it halfway!

Fucking not easy.

I wanted to proove everyone that nothing is impossible even without training, but, argh, I failed mcb!! It's just too many excuses keep popping in my head asking me to stay back that night and not following the rest to continue the fucking hike at fucking 2AM to the fucking top.

Anyhow, I'm proud making to the halfway LOL

The hike was conducted like many months ago and I didn't even mention it here. These are just 2 random pictures that I have with me right now. Not going to put others here.

Conclusion, hiking is so not ME but diving is :/

But! I'll love to try again next time, with proper training la.

Oh, I did came back in a piece without any scratch but I remembered our group end up walking like a crab for days after the hike :>

I had a wonderful trip in Bali. Except everything was really expensive and I overspend my rupiahs. Don't even have money to buy myself a meal while waiting for my flight back to Malaysia. The free meal from Mas Airlines kept me alive :/

Pushkar Pt.3: Camel ride

One thing for sure should not be miss when Candy & I came to this little town, camel riding! 200Rs for two pax on a camel for an hour ride outside the town, which means RM15.60.

Johnny(The camel) is really huge and tall! I was so afraid that I'm gonna fall down and being crush by him haha!

Apart from camel riding, what took our breath away was the remarkable deserted mountain view. And, sunset! :)

An hour camel ride is not fun. Because Johnny walked really really slow which I can't really stand, and it hurts down there!! Oh no, not hurt but numb. It's like sitting on top for a very long time with a very slow moving motion. (Yes, that is what I meant) -_-"

But it was all good for the experience and view, can't really complain that much :)

Then, we went to shop a bit in town.

Handmade shoes made by camel's skin. Cool isn't it? We bought a pair for ourselves :)

Ayayo & I, eating vege soup & tomato soup, sorry for this bad quality picture, used the wrong function.

We met Ayayo from the guesthouse. Ayayo is from Yokohama and she is traveling alone. A very SUPER soft spoken Japanese I must say! I remember a bike rode kinda fast and flew passed her and she was shocked! Haha. I cannot forget her expression. Such a daring girl to travel alone even though she looked really innocent and petite. Cannot judge a person by it's cover yeah :)

Candy purposely posed for the wrong function of the camera, or should say, we're pretty noob in cameras.

Again, traveling to Pushkar was nice and memorable. Except the dried lake was kind of disappointing and the vegetarian food kinda killed us a bit LOL* WE WANT MEATY FOOD!(BAK KU TEH) I guess we can loose weight if we stay there longer hahahahahaahah. Also, there is this moment when Candy & I was walking around in the town, suddenly there this guy who came to me and said: 'Hou nan dak ah hai neh dou yu dou heong kong yan ah!' Means 'It is difficult in such a place to meet someone from Hong Kong!'
I was surprise of course! That guy overheard us speaking Cantonese and thought we are from Hong Kong lol* Why..... we told him that we are from Malaysia and he went speechless straight away haha!

Well yeah, he was the only Asian we met who able to speak our language throughout the entire trip in India and I even noted down in my little notebook :p

Anyway, after Pushkar, our next destination was Jodhpur. We left on a very early morning.

To reach Jodhpur may need approximately 6 to 7 hours. Was very excited for the 1st hour, see my face like this -> :D

Why?

7 hours of bumpy vibration ride + non-stop bus honking! Not normal honk but a long type and different tune of honk. I also felt the blood of my ass and waist are running damn fast like standing on a Gintel i-So 'Shake to Shape'!

So stress la.

Fast food in Delhi, India

Never miss the chance of dining in a fast food chain restaurant whenever you're in India. Why?

1. They have guards standing at the door, to greet you and you don't even have to open the door yourself, they'll do it! (did not take a picture lol)

2. They have cartoon menus. Or very funny name menus.

3. Only high class people can eat fast food okay.... noticed the ppl around us, they are all quite well mannered and well dress. Well, actually the fast food resto is in Delhi, of course everyone are able to eat and pay more for better food.

By the way, did you know that Delhi is pronounced as 'Deh-li' instead of 'Del-hee'? :)

4. Food is normal. I guess it's because we only ordered a chicken burger. Should have order something special.

Pushkar Pt.1: Dried Lake

Candy in our bus bed. We overnight in a bus to go our next destination: Pushkar. But instead, our bus dropped us at Ajmer in the middle of the cold breezy night, or in the middle of nowhere without much help from the locals except ridicules expensive tuktuk rider trying to cheat us, Candy gave him the 'Fu*k you! Do you think I am stupid?' sign haha* Without clue of how to get to Pushkar, we took a few cheap rides from different kinds of tuktuks/mini lorry/mini bus, etc. And then, we finally got the RIGHT bus that will take us to the place we wanna go.

Super cold! My face was extremely bloated that night/morning. I remembered it wasn't even morning yet when we entered the Pushkar town. Both of us were with our backpacks, we knew our guesthouse's name but no clue where, it was dark, not much locals awake, the whole town was extremely quiet, I needed to go to the toilet so badly, and tired, and Candy peed at some wall! I was looking at him with jealousy because I can't pee like him but still have to TAHAN all the way until we find our guesthouse wtf! Thank god we met someone there who is kind enough to lead us to our guesthouse after that :)

We checked-in and chose a nice room facing the lake and I peed with relieved :D

But only to found out that there is no lake, only dried lake!

Wtf? So potong stim!

Dried lake.

Never mind. Pushkar still look amazingly beautiful even without the lake. But I guess it will be more beautiful if the lake is still there.

Varanasi Pt.3: The goddess Ganga River

Here comes the most interesting part of Varanasi.

The Ganges, also known as Ganga river, has long been considered a holy river by Hindus and worshiped as the goddess Ganga in Hinduism.

From what I've seen was just simply too Holy because these locals actually take baths, wash their cloths by the river and not to mention that they drink the water too.

The sun have not rise in this picture.

Proven from the internet that the Hindus, believe that the water from the river can cleanse a person's soul of all past sins, and it also cure illnesses.

I also witnessing them taking a vial of water from the river to keep in their house. I was certainly guessing was it for cooking if since drinking 'em is like routine.

Well, it is done because it is prestigious to have water of the Holy Ganga in the house, and also for the person who are weak in health is able to drink its water.

The burning Ghat

As Wikipedia-d, Ganges river has been considered one of the dirtiest river in the world. Not surprise because Hindus cremated here have their ashes scattered into the river as well...

Speaking of that, Candy and I witnessed a LIVE & NEAR version of how they burn bodies with wood. It was horrified for us seeing how a body being BBQ-ed while it broken legs or hands fell off and landed onto the ground, picked up by some man then throw them back to the woods to burn.. Yeah, it's just too bad we can't take any picture or video as to them it is a rule to respect, to the dead people and their families. The picture was actually taken while we are on the boat from far.

Candy & Naoki(right), we met Naoki just before we took the boat ride. He was traveling alone so we joined him for the ride. Very friendly and funny guy. I'll write something about him in the next post for why being funny haha.

And by seeing the below pictures, you have to salute this man... Mr.Candy. Because I think it was the craziest thing I ever see someone I know doing something like this.. I kinda proud of him.

Well, I enjoyed looking and by just snapping pictures of him!

Varanasi Pt.1

Rooftop view of Varanasi, India.

Everyday by evening, local kids and adults will take out their kites and play on their rooftop until the whole sky is filled with kites.

Lucky kites will fly up very high up the sky, while the unlucky ones, the strings might not support if the wind is too strong and eventually fall from the sky. It all depends on how well the owner can play his kite.

To them it's a daily routine or might be the best game to keep them entertain from childhood. For us, this is a simple life.

I kinda like today.

Not because of the hot weather but hiding at home avoiding the sun is like the best-est thing. And no scheduled-job-interviews, which allowed me some free time for me here sitting down in front of this lappie then starting to type :>

After Varanasi(will write more about this place next time), we head on to Agra, to visit 1 of the 7 Wonders of The World, Taj Mahal. We bought our train tickets a day earlier from our guesthouse, 720rupees for 2 pax(RM57.60), second class without air condition. Was excited about the sleeping in train again cause the last and first I had was during the trip from Bangkok to Hatyai.

It was a triple bed train. Didn't snap a picture of the train from the outside cause the whole train station was out of electricity.. then it came back to normal just maybe half an hour later.

Thank god that I brought 2 things with me, my Ipod, and my sleeping bag. Ipod is to block from whatever I hear in the train- Indians talking out loud, Indians playing games on the laptop out loud, or Indians singing out loud while listening to his phone's favorite Hindi song out loud. No one seems to ask them to shut up. I guess it is also a culture.

Second was my sleeping bag, saves me from the SUPER COLD natural air condition at night when I'm sleeping! And all the fans are not even switch on. Poor Candy cause he was freezing almost to death with only his jacket, for 16 long hours. I felt bad cause I forgot about the shawl, I bought it for my mom from Varanasi which tucked inside my bag, at least I should let him use it and cover the cold just a bit :c

This is the worst mixed pickle sause I ever tasted. But Candy love it!

Train's meal. 30rupees.

The second class train was okay. Although I seen bunch of wrapping Indians with just their shawl sleeping outside the toilet instead of a bed like one of us(it's also a walkway), they must be feeling really cold. And noticed how they make use of the space, letting their family to sleep on it.. It is sad to see a scene like that, makes me wonder why life is so unfair and why everyone are not treated equally same in life and money.

No appetite to eat so offered the whole pack to him.

Freaking 16 hours LONG ride. I had bad stomach ache by the 10th hour. Thought I was falling ill or something. But then finally let it out by the 15th hour in the train's toilet, was better after that. As for the toilet without water and paper roll experience.. Hmm, don't think I should elaborate here. Remember I mentioned that I brought my own paper roll? So, I'm safe :>

We arrived Agra the next morning, it was super duper cold! Must be below 10c. Until when we reach the town that we wanna go then it seems warmer.

Haha! I noticed I wrote to much and not even started anything about Taj Mahal!

This is like the most expensive entrance fee we ever paid, 1500rupees for 2 pax(RM120). I somehow thought tourist with student card will pay lower, not sure how much though for Taj Mahal.

Very tight security check point. Don't put anything which is too high tech in your bag, who knows the Indians might think it's a weapon. Oh, phone is not allowed to bring in.

We were there in the morning, not too much crowd yet.

Now Miss Thousand Gold is going to India and she do not mind where because she thinks that life must have some challenges and it is okay to taste it. Maybe it's not that bad after all? Are you thinking that Miss TG cannot make it? HAHA. You are wrong. Miss TG made it there so now, BOW TO MISS TG! :D

SO There goes with all the food advices. Don't simply eat any food at the streets. Noted. Don't simple drink water. Noted. Remember to wash hands before eating. Noted. Take vaccination. Noted. Blablabla. Noted. It's like these little golden rules that I must obey.

Which I did not.

Wait. I did took the vaccination hmmmm.

First of all, here are the most likely scenes or call it problems which we all will most likely face, or please do expect such thing will happen, it might not happen for your experience but who knows what will happen anyway right? For me, I already prepared for the worst before making up my mind going there.

1. Very dusty, polluted air.
2. Rubbish here and there, everywhere, and smelly most of the time.
3. Dirty food, unclean food then cook and serve on your table.
4. Dirty unclear water, stuffs flowing swimming around in your glass.
5. Vegetarian food.
6. Cow's shit everywhere. I mean, really everywhere.
7. Dirty restaurants. Locates in front of a bunch of rubbish, or besides, where ever.
8. Eat it even you don't know what is it.

If you can't stand any above of this for 10 days or less, don't even think about going there.

There was these bunch of rich Indians we met while we were queuing to the check-in counter in Delhi Airport, one of the guy asked us where are we heading, so we told them we are taking the Varanasi flight. His face was totally amazed by us probably not believing that these two little Asians will even survive there and said, "You want to find the doctor?"

HAHAHA. I think I kept quiet. I don't remember. It's pretty insulting to hear that from a man who lives in India and whom have not even visited that place himself. It's okay. I understand his reason and situation. Me myself have not even visit the Batu Caves before too and reminded me of the Thaipusam event coming on this weekend, how I wanted to watch the LIVE version of piercing through their lips or any hardcore stunt on their faces, but imagine the horrible traffic jam all the way stuck on a huge flyover or underneath and probably can't even find a decent parking lot for my Vitara? No way. It is obviously an excuse :p

Now, back to the little golden rules, it is impossible not to break the rules AT ALL. The food are tempting. The curry looks nice. Although it may be weird that their food are served on a leaf instead of a plate. Hello, do you expect us to eat our own food(Kitkats, mini dried meat/YOK GON) for the rest of our trip? Impossible kan? Go there must try their local food mah!

MUST TRY-FOOD/DRINK IN INDIA:

Chai. Means tea. Chai can comes in different taste. Some are minty/spicy, some are very herby, some are blended with a bit of lemonade, some are just plain teh-O. Mostly milky. Must definitely try because everyone there are born to drink Chai. Kids and old man drinks it. It's like how our Malays who love to hang out at mamaks and minum tea. It's a routine. Or culture. Can be found anywhere. Mostly cheap. Try the ones by the Ganga River because they will pour in some kind of clay cup where you have to throw it on the floor when you finish, and the whole thing just smash/piang/broken into pieces. The tea is definitely hot, not cold because they cook it in their pot, in their way. Pictures speak a thousand words. Price are cheap like 2 rupee per cup, don't be conn if they told you a different price.

Roadside junkfood. Snacks/Tibits. The Kuch-Kuch(Read in Indian way like KUCHING but minus the ING) Spicy. Nice. Cheap. Don't know what is it but not harm to try. We are bless to have nice tongue to taste okaaaay. Like, why not?

Sweet food/desserts below. Erm, not really convinced to try. Cakes are way colorful like they are super sweet and made for kids. And lots of flies. Weird, Indian flies love sweet food. I don't know about you about the trying part but no thanks for me. Let me know if you ever taste it yeah? Oh the yellow thing is actually MANGO CHOCOLATE!

Sweet hot cooking milk! Must try. It's good if you are a milk person.

Cheese. Made by goat milk. Served with salt pepper. Weird way of serving. But love it after trying it! The cheese itself don't taste really heavy, then blended with a bit of spice and salt? NICE. I LOVE.

LASSI. There are all kinds of lassi. Coconut lassi, banana lassi, fruits lassi, etc. Blended with yogurt. I personally don't fancy it cuz it was too sour, but the BF loves it.

MASALA/BUTTER TOSAI/or WUTEVER MASALA TOSAI. Nice. There are 2 types. 1 which is as thin as the roti canai, or 2, as thick as the pizza. Inside stuffed with ingredients like tomatoes, potatoes, onions, herbs, vege... etc. Price range cheap, if you eat by the roadsides or streets, price will be higher if you choose to settle down in a tourist cafe. I prefer the cheap ones as I can watch how they cook it.

VEGETARIAN FOOD. There are some places like the whole Pushkar, I called it the land of vegetarian. Don't serve eggs. Can't even find one. Normally potatoes, tomatoes, vege. Frankly we was okay eating those continously for days at first, but then after few more days, I think we went a little bit crazy because there are no meat untill we have to share our mini Yok Gon! We can't wait to leave that place! Till we reach our next destination at Jodhpur, also a land of vegetarian!!! Well, not really but the town we stayed in was vegetarian. We asked around the Indians and was told we could find meat outside of the town. Haha hello Malaysians, please be reminded that we are so bless and should be very damn grateful of all those different kinds of food that can be easily found in our little country.

Speaking of Vegetarian, Indians are pretty creative with their choices of menu too. I mean, look at us, our vegetarians food varieties are: fake mushrooms, fake meat, fake this fake that and all made by flour. Look at them!

COLA/PEPSI. Can't live without it. Although there are no fast food but these soft drinks are still in the business. 20rupee per bottle? Or 15. Depends where you are. Either streets, or tourist cafe.

Chicken/Fish Tandoori. We had the chicken one. Was our best dinner ever if not we will gone crazy without it. 100rupee for a half chicken which I think we are conned!! Means RM8 - Is damn expensive. But nice.

The first thing that came in my mind that things are selling cheap in India, so assuming accessories are too.

But turned out it isn't, price range are likely quite high, but still not as high as ours in KL.

You may still can bargain, but most likely they will not deduct too much as they charge their silver depending on the weight. I am not too sure whether that is their way of doing silver business or just trying to con some tourist, please correct me if you are in India or anyone have same experience like me.

Their silvers are pretty unique, just can't let my eyes away from them all the time. And feeling regret why I did not purchase it :(

I definitely will buy MORE if I ever go back there again.

Traffic in India

There I was. Sitting in a motor tuk tuk, leaving Varanasi to catch our train. Along the way, I experienced the real Indian traffic which has its own unique attributes.. I do not know which kind of word should I use to express the feeling or excitement. Example, it's like driving a car only with 2 wheels and still able to survive!

I am amazed.

The honking. They never stop honking. All kinds of melody honks. It's their culture. It is a way to say HELLO. Or maybe GET OFF THE ROAD YOU MORONS! I don't know. Maybe honking is a way of manners. And they just never stop honking from START TO THE END. There are even signage asking you to horn them.

Massive traffic. I thought Cambodia and Bangkok are the worst but no. I shall announce here that INDIA IS WAY MORE TERROR. Yes, if you know what terror means. Maybe they can win the awards by making a film called "INDIA TUK TUK" instead of the "NEW YORK TAXI". Why massive?

It is because there are not only cars on the road. There are also buses, lorries, bikes, bicycles, motor tuk tuk, bicycle tuk tuk(beca), cows, buffaloes, dogs, donkeys, camels, horse, man pushing his trolley of fruits, bunch of cows in the middle of the road, kids playing, beggars sleeping beside of the road, and even pigs, which is rare to be seen, and also HUMANS. No wonder it is so massive on the road.

Me & the cow

The most exciting tuk tuk ride I had was crossing the Round-A-Bout. In our country, we have the rules by crossing it with using clockwise sign either 12, 3, 6 or 9 o'clock. In India, they cross like us too. But also added in reverse clockwise sign. I thought I nearly died. No, Candy and I thought we will die!! Because while we were crossing the reverse or so called backwards clockwise sign, suddenly there is this bus came out from nowhere on the left, then tuktuk on our right, and bunch of slow moving donkeys in front and all the honking and xxxxxxxxx.

We thought we nearly gonna crash and I even thought of admitting into their local hospital must be the best experience ever but somehow, we didn't. Which is MAGICAL. And thank god we did not crash!!! WAIT, even if we did, how bad can it be? I mean, crash in a tuktuk? oooh and then fell out from a tuktuk, a bus came from nowhere knock u somewhere then the horse step on you or even worst, CAMEL. Holy shit what am I thinking? Erm, okay. Thank god that I'm safe now. I wonder how high are the percentage of them involving in a whatever vehicle or animal accident.

Other than pot holes and bumpy road, the traffic light was never functioning. I don't know. Not in the city I guess. So, they came out with this manual traffic light, by human! Sounds cool huh. Well it's just a man standing inside a so called pondok and giving road instructions, just like our police traffic! Well not as cool as ours although ours aren't really that cool after all. With this chaotic human manual system, it is not surprise that the agricultural traffic still remains the same.

And Suzuki Swift cars are everywhere. I mean, EVERYWHERE mostly in the city. To them it is considered as a normal car, to bang and get scratches. I don't see any car without scratches except for those higher level car as in expensive cars. Don't see much of those either. So my fellow Malaysians, do you think that you owned a Swift is damn high class or cool now? In India everyone drives 'em! Haha. Tell them that, if you want to JA them.

The train station

I guess learning to drive in India is very important to them, because it is known as a survival skill. Getting numerous and all kinds of scratches on their vehicle are like collecting stars to determine how high level of their skill is. It's a good sign.

Still very 'India' phobia. Everything I do, eat, spend, or see just made me think back the days and feeling very grateful. I've been telling everyone 'Do you know how lucky are we here???' I hope they truly understand what it means.

The journey was crazy, horrible but amazing. I never forget these great experience.

Nothing much to say because I don't really wanna elaborate more just yet. My writing spirit has not arrive heeehee.

Day 7 (17/05/2008)

HAHA I can't believe I am still writing this :p

Stayed in this Villa Kang Khong for 2 nights. This guesthouse were also featured in the lonely planet book. Book belongs to one of the traveler there. It is always useful to lend from them for some quick info.

The owner is really friendly. I think he looks like a Chinese too.

This is the Mekong River.. Si Phan Don. We crossed this river to reach Don Khong, the largest island in Si Phan Don. Everyone was talking about this Mekong River. For me, it isn't that special because of the color of the river. However this river connects from the Tibetan Plateau, runs through China's Yunnan province, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam(which I also post a pic of the river at Kratie from this post) It is the 12th-longest river in the world, and 7th longest in Asia.

No wonder it's so special. I see.

Si Phan Don means Four Thousand Islands.. Why? Because there are so many islands. Including the small ones.

The only kind of boat that I most afraid of! The whole thing might just turn the other way round if the weight is too heavy -_-"

The only 3 things must try when in Lao are:
Lao Lao (Some kind of rice wine)
Sticky rice
and
Lao BEER!

I didn't happen to try the Lao Lao except for the sticky rice for dinner.

It is nice. I always love sticky food :)

That's what I tell myself every time :D

We met some new friends during the trip. They are Ronan, Bianca, Evelyn and Mark. Married couples from Ireland. We spend most of our times together. From the first day we met, had dinner, played poker games and loads of beer till late night, breakfast, cycled and till we depart to our own separate ways. I told them that I'll write them a postcard but.. still have not been done apparently. Which is pretty sad I know. Candy, can we please do that together sooner?? Thank you.

Speaking of cycling, one of us came up with this idea just to get to know more about this quiet island. Referring to the map, we all probably thought this cycling journey won't be long. So each of us rent a bicycle for 10000kip per person.

Some farmer boy/kampung/gangster-to-be also decided to join us as well.

We left at 12pm sharp.

The first 10 minutes was fun cycling on my turbo bike. Another 10 minutes, I thought it was okay. Then another 10 minutes, I began to have negative thoughts.

Sorry guys, I might be in love with traveling but when it comes to any activities that connects to my body like running climbing and sweating, I totally suck in it.

But I'm okay with walking. Like very super slow walk. Not the fast type of walk. Only on normal road, not like those hills or what. I'll be crazy if I do that. Well sometimes I am. Depends. Ah, shopping walk is definitely okay with me.

Then we continue.

After 40 minutes, I beginning to feel regret and thirsty. I finish all my water before even an hour. I wanted to turn back, but don't want to do it alone. So I just go on cycling with the rest of them.

All we see are just paddy fields, trees, birds, Lao-ians, attap houses. And a super hot shining sun.

Well it's pretty relaxing when there's wind..

'Sawadee! Sawadee!'

That's what we all said to them whenever we see anyone. It means Hello.

'Sawadee! Sawadee!' Children and adults. They all replied with a smiling face :)

'WHY AREN'T HERE ANY SHOPs?!' I complained and still cycling.

'I don't think I can make it......When is this going to end?' I keep thinking.

'SHOP!! SHOP!! Let's stop to get a drink! A COLD DRINK!' I said.

The moment Candy walks towards me with a bottle of cold coke on his hands, I thought I saw god.

The moment I drink the cold coke, I thought I drink god.

God is blessing me with a cold coke :)

I finished the coke in no time.

'AHHHHHHH'

'Here goes, now I have more sugar in my body, why can't I do it?' I think.

'Let's fucking do it!' I think again.

I was so physically stressed. Keep pushing myself. My tights are hard and tired. My 'down there' hurts. It hurts whenever I have to come down from my turbo bike for a rest. It hurts when there's a hard bump. My eyes are tired and dry. I think I even cried a little.

OUCH.

From 1st, to 2nd, to 3rd, to the 4th, to 5th and to last. Or to last then to 3rd, to 2nd and suddenly to the last. It's like a cycling competition. Hahaha.

'I'm out of sugar' I think again.

We came across this Muang Sen Village after like maybe, 2 and a half hour journey.

We stopped for some sugar refill.

I think I drank another 2 bottles of coke straight.

I needed a recharge or else I will think that I am crazy.

'When are we going to reach?????' I keep looking at the time.

More paddy fields, cows, buffalo, birds, ugly dogs, small pigs, goats, people.. no pictures taken. Sorry. My hands are too busy and sweaty, don't wanna hurt myself by multi-tasking.

The only image I still remember.. There's this huge PIG lying under a tree beside the field.. I think he needed a shade like us under a hot sun. But he seems more relaxing than us. A very huge meaty pig I have not seen in my life.

Few hours of cycling until we reach to the end where we all began. I looked at my watch. It is 4pm. 4PM! Four hours cycling under a hot sun.

We. Did. it. WE DID IT!

Lesson learned. Do not trust on maps.

Four hours without sunblock. Suffering. At least I had a best sleep that night.

Just a quick post.

When I was staying at Kohsuke and Tomoko's house, the first thing that came into my mind that when I stepped into their bathroom, I asked myself whether is this the right..bathroom that I should, shower?

That shower hook(what's it called anyway?) were kinda short, like just till my waist line.

Anyway, I heard that they usually just sits on the floor instead of standing like us. And men usually just sit there do nothing but the wife scrub and shower for them. Heh.

Yeap. It was fun sitting all the time. Just that not so used to it when comes to washing difficult parts with such a gesture.

Oh.. there's this one day, I have no idea why the heater just went off(I do not know how to switch on cuz everything written in Japanese, I tried every button but still doesn't work) so I left no choice to bath with the cold water. Like the kind of freezing.cold.superb.ice.water. Oh my.. It's crazy that I kept on jumping up and down in there. Super freaking cold comparing here. Not the weather but the ice water.

So be sure that the heater is on when you are there next time.

Kohsuke's wedding at Aoyama, Japan (Sept 14)

This is just a short video I took before heading to Kohsuke's wedding, we were at Yoyogi Park. It was Sunday that day where all different bands perform at the park. It's amazing. I wish to stay longer but too bad were in a hurry to the wedding :(
These people are just so talented. I love it.

I still have other short videos taken in the wedding ceremony. The wedding is so creative and cool, even the music they choose. John Lennon and Bob Marley? That's unique. They also hired a famous band, Motorworks to play the song of Bob Marley in acoustic way. There are just so many cool point in the wedding. Cool friends who attended, cool outfit for the wedding. Kohsuke with his face full of mustache that everyone kept laughing that he looked the same as the father in the church. Tomoko, the cool bride with her white wedding dress but wore a catchy red pumps. It is my first time attending such event. Also first time to a church wedding. And I am so proud and happy for them. We even get the chance to be in the just family & relatives group photo, nobody else except us. We are so lucky to be there(Candy & I). Plus, we also get to go to the grand dinner with the family. The food was the grandest meal I ever tried. 13 course, white wine, red white, champagne, hoegaarden bottle beer, and draft beer. 3 or 4 chef were preparing our meal right behind us, it was so alive. Kohsuke & Tomoko cut a red meat (beef) instead of cake in a traditional way to start the toast, how creative! I think for my wedding I will do something like this too! Awesome dinner. If it wasn't the beer, I guess I didn't had so much fun taking too many pictures until it ran out of battery. It was great meeting the Arita family, again I'm gonna say we are both just too lucky! Not much Japanese are willing to do these actually. It was such a pleasure. After dinner there was a party held at Tokyo Salon. I said too bad because without my camera, I was not able to capture every moment :( For the first thought, I thought Tomoko might will change to another dress to attend that party, but no! She did not. She wore the same wedding dress and the red pump to the club. Haha! She was dancing and jumping around in the club. A lot of cool people were there, there are models and famous fashion designers that I've no idea who till Candy told me about it. Damn my camera! Anyway, a very famous photographer Mr. Masumi Kojima was there, so right now we just have to wait for his pictures. There are also few people came and speak Japanese to me. Haha. I am not sure that I even looked like one of them. But it was all good! The DJ put up a song by Oasis, Don't look back in anger, we then all held hands and arms forming a huge round in the center of the dance floor, singing and laughing until the song finished. It was so alive..because that is my favorite song. Chris was there as a MC. A friend of Candy, what I heard that he is a Korean but brought up in Japan. He is such a funny man. Also pleasure to meet Kohsuke's elder brother, Yuusuke and his girlfriend(forgot her name). I am so happy that I can meet somebody that can speak proper English. Yuusuke and his girlfriend was my translator that night ha ha. Although there was a moment that his girlfriend asked me, 'So, what do you think of Japanese hood?' I was like, 'Uh? Japanese HOOD? What HOOD?' And then she show me the hand signage like she was eating, 'OH! JAPANESE FOOD!' Certainly I love the food over there. It's heaven. Till then, I realized that she wasn't the only one who pronounce food as hood. But never mind, I know now and that doesn't matter. Those who came for the wedding were given souvenirs, a handmade soap personally by Tomoko and a box of olive oil. I can feel so much 'love' in the gifts! So creative :) After the party, Candy and I left by taking densha home.. First time smelling like cigarette and beer stuck in a train for an hour, by time we reached zu shi station it was past 12am, no more bus operating and we're are forced to take cab home. Thank you Candy for settling the bill :p

As for the videos taken in the wedding ceremony, tried a couple times to load in youtube but kept on getting the same error, plus unable to load direct here in blogger.com because of the size. Anyway, I will find way to post it somehow because you have to watch it, I still feel touch whenever I watch it :)

Roadtrip to Lao (Continue)

Continuing from my previous post here

So, Candy & I, and the 3 female foreighners also going to the same location, hopped on to another better mini van at 12.30pm to continue our journey to Lao. Update: Our journey started from Cambodia, Siem Reap-Kratie-Stung Treng-Lao.(And we're heading to Southern of Lao)

To enter Lao, we may need to cross over a border before it which is named Dong Kralor. I am not too sure the exact time we arrived there, probably an hour from Stung Treng? All we remembered that we did not even notice that we're at the border! Why? Well, we never expect that a border could looked like this.

Cool? No?

Yes, this is the Dong Kralor border! It's so cool that I have to take some pictures home and show it to everyone *lol*

See? A pondok all the sudden in the middle of some...jungle except goat&cows highway roadside? And that's our mini van! It was weird when the driver just stopped us there and told us to bring our passport down, everyone's expression were just so plain blur and funny.

An officer stood up in the pondok, and checked on our passports. He asked where Candy & I from and asked about our visas in broken english.

Well, we don't need any visa to be in Cambodia neither Lao. Exactly. We told the officer, then he went on checking on the list behind him. He looked like he don't believe us. Neither any other officers beside him. They just check from the list which is all covered by dust. I guess that is a list of countries of which require or don't require visa to enter their country.

"Huh? Does this means not much or never Malaysians exit from this border? Haha, Jane, we are so proud to be here!" said Candy happily.

Yes, it is such an experience. No regrets, right?

Luckily, the list proved us right. But somehow, we were told to pay a dollar to exit! Okay, not too sure whether this is a kopi money or for the govt, we just pay to the officer anyway.

We left the border in no time and head on the another border just few meters away.

This time, we are entering Lao.

It is funny that they have this overtime and weekend period where tourist have to pay higher to enter. We paid two dollars because it's a Saturday.

All of us left after that and head on towards Lao.. By time we all reached, Candy & I just realized that we bought either wrong tickets or the bloody driver cheated us? We supposed get one which is directly to Don Khong(Southern of Lao) instead of ... Don Det? Ok this gonna be crazy because the names are way too funny to remember.. Myself too until now I'm not even sure where we stopped and left! Kindly correct me if I gave out the wrong info, alright? The reason why I knew we were at Don Det is because the 3 foreigners aren't going the same way while Candy & I are planning to the south.

So we waived goodbye to each other that late afternoon, and find ways to get ourselves to Don Khong.

USD$15 for 2 pax, van and boat trip to Don Khong Island. It's pricey, but we have no choice other than just paying.

Hello I've been doing nothing except online sleep eat online sleep eat and I am wondering how can I survive for the whole month?? Hey I made my choice and I should not be complaining.. lolx yes just enjoy la doing NOTHING wtf! So nice rite.

Here's another food favoritism I tried and adored at Kota Kinabalu(Malaysia la). I dunno(yesidunno) what is called but if U see it just try it..

Okay I am so happy because I love eating!

Green flavored Pandan and brown is brown sugar.

You know I've tried durian flavored in Ampang loh, but damn yucky it's not even served hot! Hey I didn't know it was in durian flavored when I bought it loh until I eat it in the office and goes, wtf is this smell?!

Taste good! Sweet slimy sticky lambetbet hmmmm I always love these textures haha.
Yes really I love all sticky food so much I could die for even watery food :D~

Funny Tau Fu Far?

Came back from a morning jog with my dog. Omg I swear I'm gonna be so much healthier if by doing that every morning ok no such thing going to happen lolx.

So last week was at Ipoh ate saltychicken,dimsum,chickenrice etc, omg now I'm drooling Iwannagobackthere to eat again!!

This one is damn nice although I dunno whats it called?

Wa deng I haven't taken my breakfast!!

Were in this famous dim sum restaurant! (Wa, got website wan! GENG leh) Be sure to go there early morning k, more fun eating with old uncleauntiesahpek. And try other dumplings as well! I never post mine cuz very lazy to write long long nia.

And try this Tau Fu Far!! I'm not a taufufar person but this bloody taufu is so much smoother and sweeter than the KL's taufu loh. 1 bowl very little nia and still worth it loh. And after eating it will be funny one loh, do you know why ah? (Ish, macam Singaporean ni)

It's called Funny Mountain!(Haha so funny) Around Onn Kee Chicken Rice Restaurant.

When I took this picture the guy in white with dark blue pants said 'Hey snap us have to show us the picture ok!' I boh hiu him and walked away lol so bad.

Roadtrip to Lao

Day 6th (17/05/2008)

We both woke up quite early the next morning to catch our ride to Lao at 8am.

Before leaving, we sat down in a guesthouse just to have a quick breakfast, U-Hong II Guest House which is not far away from the guesthouse we stayed over last night.

BTW, we also bought our Lao bus tickets from this guesthouse for USD$9.(1 way of coz)

Note: Never get tickets from the bus station, their charges are much higher maybe from $10 to $15. Advise to get it directly from guesthouses like U-Hong. Ignore this line if you're willing to pay higher.

It's pretty confusing from the board we saw at first, they offer quite ranges of transport. They have buses with aircond, boat, taxi, and bus. Ours - Lao Border. So, assuming our ride should be a bus without aircond, no? Okay please imagine a bus without aircond. Hmm, a huge bus without aircond? No problem. It's only 4 hours ride afterall.

So we proceed with our breakfast while waiting for our bus.

My breakfast - coffee, egg, some meat with bread for USD$2.75

Such a delicious breakfast I must say.

I know my face is not delicious..

Our bus arrived pretty late, I mean, an hour late sharp at 9AM. It's ok, we were prepared for the lateness already earlier.

The moment our bus turned up right in front of us, Candy and I were ..erm, slightly shocked.

It's not a mini bus or a huge bus. It's only a mini van. Yeah it is okay to travel with a van of coz. We're not that fussy.

But, what we saw outside before getting into the van, too bad I didn't take any pictures that moment!

There are: 3 motorbikes, a slightly shorter than me maybe 5 ft tall somekindof tree, a whole pile of bags including our huge backpacks, a man, all stucked up on top of our van.

It's so depressing lol I know. Such a good surprise.

The ladies(foreigners) at the far end in the van smile at us akwardly like they totally understood our feelings too, lol, yes, the loads above us. We chose our seats right in front of them. And off we go.

The only foreigners are us and the ladies from United States behind, the rest of seats are fully occupied with local ninjas.

We thought our ride is just a 1 way ride, but no, our van stopped at many stops during the 4 hours adding more and more ninjas and bags above.

There are times like when each time we stoped to load another person in..

'Oh no, not another one..'
'Oh here comes..'

There are also times like when stoped to load a family of ninjas in..

'.....'

Everyone went speechless in fact.

'Okay there are 23 of us here included the one on top'

If I remembered the numbers correctly.

Such a fun ride, luckily the weather was alright, and the opened windows are just beside us. We still got air to breath our lungs out.

After 4 hours of exciting ride, we arrived at Stung Treng at 12pm. Was told that another van shall pick us up at 12.30pm to continue our journey to Lao. So it was a wrong calculation, it is only 4 hours to reach halfway to Lao, which is Stung Treng. And plus another few hours to reach our exact venue. Heh, but anyway, we still thanked god that finally we're out of that ninja van silently. And prayed for a better transport.

We had a quick lunch in a cafe named Riverside Restaurant at Stung Treng.

没try过这style的beef stew noodle - 干捞牛腩粉(dry)

味道不错,可是价钱好像有点贵因是在Johor嘛.

最后, 来个它们本地区出名的脆皮奶油kaya面包.

抱歉,华文不是很好,好像又写错好多字...

没找到出名的Railway Station Cafe尝试它们的脆皮面包, 只好随便找个茶餐厅尝试尝试.

真的满脆, 比起KL的面包形状都不一样.

Blue cheese.

Tasted sharp, salty, and a lil weird eating with just the chinese so called 'fatt mou cheese' rather than 'rotten cheese'. Suggesting to serve it with crunchy crackers instead of the whole blue cheese, then take a sip of fine red wine. Or else we gonna see each other's weird faces. The smell of this food is slightly abit like a mixture of durian+babypuke+smelly tofu, but not as strong as the smelly tofu alone itself. My friend, Eric kept on skipping and avoiding the cheese! Requesting us to pay him 2k for just to consider whether to have a tiny piece for the night.

To set our day, 4 of us left from Genting this noon to catch some breakfastlunchie & movie. Me, the sales of coz.

But wtf, Candy bought an A|X belt for himself and I didn't get anything!

I'm gonna post up just a few pix about this special seaweed that I've tried during my trip to KK, Sabah last weekend.

I LOVE IT! My first time trying it.

It tasted abit salty and very crunchy. Slighty bigger than the japanese ebigo(prawn's eggs). Not sure whether it is after cooked or anything but I still love it anyway.

Beautiful? One more below.

Suitable to eat with their local chilli sos and chilli padi.. hehe.

A plate of this seaweed is only RM1.

Can be found in the evening market beside the philipino's market that sells all kind of souveniers and jewelry.

5th day of Cambodia, it is time for our next venue!

Candy & I touched down at Cambodia(Siem Reap) by flight, we did as promised, the rest of the trip we will be traveling by land. Plan certainly can't be changed cuz we only bought 1 way flight ticket.

Aiming at southern of Laos, we thought we could go there easily from Siem Reap directly to Laos by just 1 bus or something.

We asked around on how, what bus and hope the Cambodians can guide us. Turned out most of the Cambodians were abit surprised when we told them we're not going there by flight. Why not? It's just so convenient over there to take any flight even back to KL and back to Siem Reap. Because it is a budget trip! Not going to waste money flying around. From SiemReap-Kratie it's like from KL -KK.

So the answer to go there, we got to get a bus from Siem Reap- to Kratie(stayover)-Stung Treng- and Laos.

Not that difficult. It's just some roadtrip.

Bought a bus ticket at Siem Reap to Kratie for USD$15. We started the road trip on the 16th of May(in my notes) early morning, a sorta medium size not that huge or tight van came picked us up at the ticket counter. The reason I said that cuz I wasn't sure whether it's a van or bus.

Maybe it's a medium size bus. Oh, a mini bus :)

Then the mini bus brought us to a sorta bus station, from there we changed to a bigger bus.

It's a great road trip. I forgot exactly how long to reach Kratie, probally.. few hours. like maybe 6 or 7 hours.

Anyway, all I remember was the super loud song they played all the way in the bus. The speakers were just right on top of our seats! I didnt sleep. And the next thing that I did not forget is our bus almost hit a cow!! It's abit shocking. All the way there's so many damn cow! And till we almost hit one when we're about to reach Kratie. The whole bus brakes to the max, everyone awake and starts cursing the cow in their cambodian language(I think?). Such a tragedy. But we survived! Phew.

We reached Kratie town near evening. Moment stepping down from the bus, lots of hotel attackers start attacking us. I mean, you know, they gonna hardcore promoting their guesthouse and beg you to stay there? It's pretty sad that we didn't accept their offer at first. Oh beware, those people are smart. I mean really, because they speak all kind of languages. They will simply start by asking where are you from, and once you tell them you are from Malaysia, they reply you in Malay.

'I'm Chinese not Malay!' answering them in disgust.

And one of them reply me in Mandarin.

Then they all can't stop talking talking promoting so on. It's pretty hard not to speak a word when being question for so long and by so many people. Further more they're just doing their job. Maybe you can trust them, maybe not. The only one that can speak mandarin kept on approaching me, he adviced me not to trust others and told me their guesthouse are far away. He kept on promoting his rooms with the pictures.

Candy did not say a word but kept walking. I followed him, turned out all those budget hotels aren't that far away from the bus station! Walking distance! Just 5 to 8 minutes. The guy that speaks Mandarin cheated me, he told me that his friend's guesthouse is far away! Luckily we never choose his.

Kratie town

We settled down at one of the cheapest guesthouse I ever stayed that day.

For USD$4 per night, with a bathroom and a beautiful drawn window.

With an old queen size bed. Or a medium size single bed. Weird size. And not that comfy too.

Didn't not complain anything cuz I've been aspecting that along. LoL

Forgot to note down the guesthouse's name, it's just right opposite of the market.

We walked around Kratie from town to the riverside. Hungry for dinner.

And here we are, the Mekong River of Kratie town.

My dinner, not failing to missed the beer everytime.

Dinner seems simple but we end up smoking alot chatting with Grey. We met him at the bus stop when we just arrived. That is Candy not Grey. Did not take his picture.

Grey is such a nice and funny guy. He is the first foreigner we met during our trip.

Oh before ending, Kratie, is pronounced as 'Kra-chest' in Cambodia(I like the word). Try to read in that way if the Cambodians does not understand you at all when you mention Kratie.

The Blue Pumpkin @ Cambodia

Just briefly going to introduce this rotishop at Siem Reap, The Blue Pumpkin.

The cafe quite near to the famous old market.

I fancy how they decorated the whole cafe upstairs, especially the super long sofa bed.

Did you notice someone is laying on d bed like some dead corpse at the far end? He was sleeping there with the same position when we arrived & until we leave!

So comfy! Thank god Candy & I found this cafe before both of us went too dehydrated under the HOT sun outside. I felt like laying there forever.

The bed deco is abit like the famous Bed club in Bangkok.

This is a moocher. Blended with green pepper, green lemon and apple. Moocher cost 2USD.

This is my Jungle Jewel cost 3USD. Served with a mango & coconut flavoured icecream, some congo cookies(luv this!), banana & coated with some malibu. I have not tried icecream in coconut flavoured before, but this is not bad. Just slightly sweeter. But it goes well with the banana.

Candy & I. Candy is a great fan of the baseball team, Tigers from Japan. You can see obviously by what he is wearing.

Bread & pastry available downstairs.

Do dine or rest there when you happen to passby, they have huge pillows to lay on :)

A night @ FCC Angkor

Through the 14 days travelling around South East Asia, the cheapest room that Candy & I stayed so far, cost only USD$4 per night(located inside Kratie-Cambodia). Both of us already planned not to overspend, so of course we have to bargain everything as low as possible. Exp rooms, transportation, food, etc.

But, since anyway 14 days of suffer(lol), we decided at least treat ourselves in a better way so both of us can come back proudly and tell everyone about how enjoy we had in this luxurious design hotel.

And my family will be less worried about it too.

All rooms are given names. Ours is EUCALYPTUS. Although I not quite sure what it means at first, now I know it is actually a name of Cambodia's local herbs & spices.

Once stepped into our room, a heavenly strong aroma of essential oils took our breath away. So strong and nice until Candy can't stop asking me whether is it okay to request the housekeeper to give us more as a souvenier :}

The housekeeper then gave us a light introduction of himself and the room.(Don't remember his name) Like a small presentation. From the fan & light switches of every corner, tv remote control, cabinets, the bath tub & shower, and to the essential aroma oils.

How thoughtful is that :)

Only a total of USD$112.20 per night in a king garden view room, it is well worthy for Candy to express his joyness.

Preah Khan, the sacred sword

Preah Khan, which means "the sacred sword," was a Buddhist university, a temple, a kind of monastery, and a city. It was built by Jayavarman VII and dedicated to his father. Much has not been restored at this site and, in fact, masonry clutters many of the courtyards, making some exploration hazardous.

Hall of the Dancers: Lintel with frieze of dancing Apsaras--celestial dancers who entertain the gods and are the sensual rewards of the heroes who die courageously.

This two-story building with round columns is possibly dated from the second half of the 13th century. This building has 32 columns set on a raised platform. Eight of the columns from square porches at the west and east ends of the structure while the remainder support a lintel and wall. The upper story probably once had a wooden floor and still has five windows low to the floor level. No stairway has been found. The building's purpose is still a mystery.

Took me few hours to finish this post bcoz Lyn they all kept on messaging me and talk craps in msn sei yeh!

I remembered Val complained to me last time how dusty dirty and hot when she traveled to Bangkok, well, in Cambodia, it's even worst.

Sandy road lol can you feel the breeze?

Probally not worst than India of course.

I have my pretty long silky straight hair at first but after just plain ride in the tut tut, my pretty silky hair became rougher than my dog's fur. I have to wash my hair 3 times a day. Imagine that. So I admire those with short hair like Candy.

The reason I took that picture is to show how bad the traffic is in Cambodia. We were on the other side of the road where ppl driving from the front. Ah bad explanation. It's just bad traffic there and I were amazed for 4 days. A one way road can equals to many ways road at a same time. No matter whether a bus, a lorry, a van, or bike, or tut tut, or human just crossing the road. Still, those who drives can remain so calm and peaceful. Salute.

We were heading to the so called 'Big Market' in Siem Reap to have dinner.

Old Market

Old Market and Big Market in Siem Reap is different. Old Market is the famous market where lots of those english pubs, restaurants, etc, who earns most of the tourist dollars. Same goes packed with tourists. Big Market is not as famous as Old Market, located quite far probally another 15 minutes from Old to Big Market.

I asked Pilot why it is called Big Market? He said it is the biggest market in Siem Reap, and the market opens early morning until late evening everyday.

It's good meat. I always eat whatever placed on the table even though not too sure what are those. It's just probally pork.

Pilot cooked for us. He is so friendly! He even accompany us to have a quick dinner and after that he needs to go home to have dinner again with his wife! lol!

Not too different except for the soup and different ingredients comparing to Malaysia. The soup is awsome. And the meat? All pork. Beef.

Whatever meat it is. Its still so tasty!

This post is about two special dish that I have tried in Cambodia.

I asked Pilot what is this dish named in Cambodian language, he quickly ran to his tut tut, pull out a paper, and pointing at 1 of the lines and showed me..

It is called, Nom Banhchok.

Rice Vermicelli noodles with raw vegetables. There are two different soups that can accompany this dish, a green or a red soup. The green soup is made of grounded fish, lemon grass, and kroeung. The red soup is made from tenderized chicken and a simple coconut curry. Samlor kari can be substituted over the two soups.

I don't mind bout the all kinds of raw mixed vege nor the disturbed flies. I ate anyway and it taste like HEAVEN.

The other, is quite similiar to our Char Siew Fan or Lap Cheong Fan. And bad news is that I did not ask Pilot what is it called in their language :{

After trying both, I can only say that Nom Banhchok taste much better comparing to this plate of rice.

And last thing must not to miss out whenever you are going to have meal in Cambodia, ask for their chilli padi! Make sure to eat in whole because that is what they did and they will be amazed if you do so :D

We ordered 2 bowls of Nom Banhchok and a plate of that Char Siew Fan is only 10000Riel. Means USD$2.50. Very cheap! So, MUST TRY NOM BANHCHOK OK!

BBQ in Cambodia

Candy suggested to have cheap local bbq for dinner instead of the tourist area. And our tut tut driver Pilot, brought us to this wonderful restaurant.

Once Candy walked away to order food, left me alone sitting there, a group of Cambodians from beside that looked like AhLongs greeted me in broken English and offered me a glass of Angkor Beer.

I thank him and took a small sip of the beer. They looked happy. One of the AhLong then uses his beer glass knocking on my glass, and showed me like asking me to finish the whole glass. I shooked my head and said, 'Oh no, not now because I have not taken my dinner yet..' I wish he could understand what I'm trying to tell him that moment. I prayed hardly that Candy faster come back so that these AhLongs won't do anything and he really did. I told him everything and the AhLongs also offered him beer.

They are all very friendly indeed. Although may look different in person. But I do noticed one of the AhLong are quite good looking.

The owner of the restaurant is a friendly person. He came and introduced us what nice to eat in English because he were the only one that can. The rest of the waitress may need a longer time to understand.

Less than RM50. It's worth it. Although not quite sure what's written in that bill except for the amount. Print out this picture for their address and show it to your driver if you want to go to this place lol. Oh I know this place is near to the famous old market.

It was nice to eat at such friendly and crowded environment. What I still remembered that night was the customers! Because they seem to love to drink and LOVE to walk around to strangers and CHEEEERRRRS everywhere. It was really happening like a club.

And most important is, we see no tourist other than locals..

Best part?

After dinner it rain so heavily that we have to RUN and get soacked and damn wet that night.
